The Sisters
Growing up, Janet and Christine Blair remember coming home from school to the smell of fresh-baked bread and cookies right from the oven. Sundays, their mom spent the day making traditional family dinners, complete with homemade apple pie.
They also remember days spent making perogies from scratch, canning and creating with all the fresh produce from the family's garden, and since their Grandpa was a fisherman, there was always lots of fresh seafood to enjoy.
It would not be long before Janet was following in those footsteps with her own family while also running a successful home-based daycare for over ten years.
Christine's love for the kitchen took a bit longer to cultivate, but after she quit her job managing a fitness centre and moved here from Aug '05, the sisters were on their way!
They share a love of cooking and creating, and most of their long-distance chats were about new recipes, cooking websites, and how they could turn their passion for food in to a successful business.
They are thrilled to be on their way to doing just that!

And for the environment...

-
They use only FairTrade coffee (locally roasted), and teas.
-
They do their best to reduce environmental impacts by using less energy and creating less waste; utilizing local foods as much as possible, and building support from their clients and the community.
- Deliveries are on re-usable equipment.
They are encouraging all of their clients to go “green” and stock their own china, cutlery, napkins, and glassware. However, if dishware is required, they can provide their own china & flatware.
